I was born and raised in Austin, yet, there’s a part of me that just doesn’t feel like I belong. Which is a bit surprising, even to me. I mean, I’m vegan, I love music, I love quirky vintage things, so what gives? Austin should be a haven for me!

I don’t do this very often… But a good friend of mine has made it to the top 26 in designs for a hollywood production, all he needs now is for people to like his design on facebook! I wouldn’t be supporting this if I didn’t think his design was truly one of the best and I’m sure most of you love supporting the locals!

You know you’re from Texas when you have a main fridge, a back fridge, and two giant freezers filled with local game and gulf coast fish. Too much? Nah. Some people prepare for long cold winters but I think here in Texas we prepare more for the long hot summers than anything else. With hunting season in the fall, it makes sense.
SXSW. One long chaotic mess of bands, music, technology, and film. How does that not sound awesome? I was absolutely excited to go this year as one of the websites I write for got me a wristband and press pass to go and cover the festival and even interview bands. Yeah, not exciting at all. The whole experience was actually so very stressful but absolutely awesome at the same time. My week was filled with texts from band managers setting times, changing times, walking all over with tons of equipment, late nights seeing shows then going home completely exhausted wanting nothing more than to sleep but having to stay up almost all night uploading pictures and writing recaps. But oh the memories.
